#NAME?

NAME Error

Occurs when Excel/Sheets doesn't recognize text in a formula — usually a misspelled function name or an undefined named range.

Common Causes

1.Misspelled function name (e.g., =VLOOKIP instead of =VLOOKUP)
2.Using a named range that doesn't exist or was deleted
3.Text inside a formula that wasn't enclosed in quotes
4.Using a function that requires an add-in which isn't installed

How to Fix It

Check the function name spelling carefully

=VLOOKUP (not =VLOOKIP)

Ensure text strings are in double quotes

=IF(A2="Yes","OK","No") not =IF(A2=Yes,OK,No)

Verify named ranges exist: Formulas > Name Manager

Add the required add-in or replace with a built-in equivalent
