XLOOKUP

lookup

Modern replacement for VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP. Searches a range and returns a match from another range.

Syntax

=XLOOKUP(lookup_value, lookup_array, return_array, [if_not_found], [match_mode], [search_mode])

Example

Excel
=XLOOKUP(A2, D:D, E:E, "Not found")

Looks up A2 in column D and returns the matching value from column E, showing "Not found" if no match.
